University Scholarship
I have faced real hardship in my work life — including an employer who refused to pay me and another who told me to quit when I needed sick leave. These experiences made me stronger and more determined.
I completed my degree in Public Health and gained a deep understanding of community health challenges. My studies prepared me to identify gaps in local health services and work toward practical solutions.
I worked at a pharmacy and a patient care center after graduation. Both experiences, though difficult, taught me perseverance and the realities of healthcare in under-resourced settings.
My community has schools and students but a chronic shortage of teachers. I see the direct impact this has on children and it drives my commitment to contributing to education and community health.
I want to build a successful career in public health, achieve financial stability, and use my knowledge to make a lasting positive impact in the communities I serve.
